High-Resolution 3D Scanning Services

3D scanning uses a Geometric Captures scanner that creates mesh models by capturing every segment of a part from different angles that can be merged into a single digital creation.   

• CAD development for 3D printing or other manufacturing technologies
• Client owns CAD file
• Generally speaking, part dimensions for table-top 3D scanning are approx 12" x 12" x 12" and under.  Larger scanning projects (up to 36" x 24" x 24") are completed using a hand held scanning device.
• Traditional design and development services available

​With the scan complete, the data is rolled up into a CAD program.  At this stage, design changes can be made to add or remove features, scale up or down, etc.    The completed 3D CAD files is then sent to the client or used to manufacture the part using 3D Printing or other Additive Manufacturing technologies.
